Weiner's Cable Assembly
Weiners is an owner-operated second-generation family business. Weiner emerged in 2007 through a change of generations from the Wolfgang Weiner Kabelkonfektion (Wolfgang Weiner Cable Assembly).

After the transfer from Wolfgang Weiner to Mathias Weiner the business was renamed into Weiner’s Kabelkonfektion (Weiner’s Cable Assembly), since within the framework of the transfer diverse new operating areas are to be explored. The core business of the Weiners group of companies is and remains cable assembly, consultation in the area of connection technology, switchgear cabinet construction etc., with an emphasis on customer service, support, quality, and prompt delivery.

History

1983

Wolfgang Weiner Kabelkonfektion und Schaltschrankbau - independent commercial agency was founded. Shortly after Wolfgang Weiner quit his job as a logisitcs manager the first major customer, SICK, is obtained. SICK had then made the decision to outsource it’s cable assembly and Wolfgang Weiner won the contract

1983

Because of the high volume of orders by SICK, Wolfgang Weiner worked almost exclusively for SICK. After a few years more customers could be gained. The client aquisition has been based on word of mouth from existing customers, the customer satisfaction was the most important for Wolfgang Weiner.

1987

The rooms and the garage, etc. in the private house became too small. The current premises in Zeppelinstr. 9 in Germany, Teningen-Nimburg was purchased and Wolfgang Weiner moved his business into the basement. The remaining space at the site was still rented out.

1989

Because of the steady growth and new customers, it became necessary that Wolfgang Weiner Cable-Confection & Assembly continued to expand, the entire ground floor was added and taken for production, final inspection and administration.

1991

The tenants of the private residence of the previous owner’s flat terminate the rental-contract, a successor is not wanted, and that these areas are integrated into the business as well, thus results in the first conference room, additional production facilities and a development department

1993

The first crimping machine of Hanke is bought. It was designed for quick change tools, so that the philosophy of producing a broad range of products, is taken into account

1994

The current ERP system GDI is introduced and adapted

1999

www.weiner-kabelkonfektion.de, the first website of Wolfgang Weiner Cable-Confection & Assembly goes online.

2001

The existing office building became too small, so it is expanded again

2006

Wolfgang Weiner handed over his business to his son Matthias Weiner.

2007

Wolfgang Weiner Cable-Confection & Assembly is renamed in Weiner’s e.K. A new website is created: www.weiners.de. The company building is too small again and a new attachment is added. In addition, the builduing grows by one more level, the remaining green spaces make way for additional employee parking.

2008

It’s the first time, more than 50 employees work for Weiners. The import section for buying products from China are becoming more and more  successful.

2009

For the first time in the company’s history, Weiners recorded a decline in sales. However, this will not last long.

2010

The first fully automatic machine for single wires is taken into operation.

2012

Weiners e.K. Weiner became Weiner GmbH & Co.KG
